The Havelock Tavern, Alum Rock, Birmingham.

Unfortunately the Havelock Tavern has closed, as of April 2008.

I would like to thank the gaffer and customers of this fine public house,

for trying to keep it going.

Also my grateful thanks to Carl Chinn, who kindly printed an article,

poem and pictures, in his magazine " Carl Chinn's Brummagem".

Well worth a read, if you love the city of Birmingham.

With house prices falling and credit harder to get the "Havee" may well lie idle, for some time.

On an upbeat note one of the eleven pubs closed in the local area, has reopened.
